Terms of Use

1. The Service

FF Tanken helps you find and compare nearby fuel stations and open a selected station in a navigation service. The free version provides access to station and price information. A paid subscription or one-time purchase unlocks additional app features described at the point of purchase. It does not purchase, certify, or guarantee the underlying station or price data.

FF Tanken is an information and discovery tool. It does not sell fuel, operate the stations shown, set their prices, or enter into a fuel-purchase contract on a station’s behalf. Any fuel purchase is a separate transaction between you and the relevant station or retailer.

You may use the Service only if you can lawfully agree to these terms. If you are under the age at which you may enter into a contract where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.

2. Fuel prices and station data

The Service depends on data supplied by third parties. Depending on the country, those sources may include public authorities, data providers, fuel retailers, station operators, and customers or other end users. Those sources control when data is reported and may change or withdraw it. FF Tanken does not independently inspect every station or verify every price.

A displayed price is informational only. It is not a quote, offer, promise, or guarantee that the fuel is available or that the station will charge that price when you arrive. Prices can change after they are reported or while you travel. Data may be stale, incomplete, duplicated, mistranslated, assigned to the wrong fuel grade, or affected by technical and human error. Discounts, loyalty schemes, membership requirements, payment-method conditions, taxes, and local price rules may also make the price at the pump different from the price shown.

These limitations apply to both free and paid users. Any payment to FF Tanken is for additional functionality, not for a guaranteed fuel price, guaranteed saving, or warranty that third-party station data is accurate, complete, or continuously available.

Before buying fuel, check the station’s price board and pump, confirm the required payment conditions, and make sure the fuel is suitable for your vehicle. The station’s displayed terms and price control your purchase.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FF Tanken is not responsible for a loss caused solely by inaccurate, delayed, incomplete, or unavailable data supplied by an external source, or by a station changing its price, stock, hours, or other conditions. Nothing in this section removes a right that cannot legally be excluded.

3. Coverage and availability

Coverage varies by country, area, fuel type, and data source. The Service relies on upstream data feeds, hosting, internet and location services, device platforms, and app stores. We do not promise that the Service or any particular station, country, feature, or data feed will always be available, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

We may reasonably maintain, update, suspend, limit, or change parts of the Service, including geographic coverage, where needed for security, legal compliance, supplier changes, technical operation, or product improvement. Where a change materially affects paid access, we will provide notice or a remedy when required by applicable law.

4. Safe and lawful use

Do not interact with the Service while driving unless local law permits it and it is safe to do so. Use a passenger, stop somewhere safe, or use an approved hands-free or in-car interface. You remain responsible for driving safely, following traffic laws and road signs, assessing routes and road conditions, and deciding whether a station is safe and accessible. Directions, distance, opening hours, and map locations may be inaccurate.

5. Free data, paid features, and access

Station and price information is available as part of the free Service. Payment unlocks additional functionality; it does not buy a different source of price data or an assurance that the information will be accurate or available. The price, billing period, trial (if any), renewal terms, and included paid features are shown before purchase.

Apple or Google processes the payment under the terms of the relevant app store. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the app-store account used to purchase it. Cancellation takes effect according to the terms shown by that store and does not normally refund a period already paid for.

A “lifetime” purchase means access to the purchased features for the commercial lifetime of the FF Tanken Service, not for the lifetime of any person, device, or third-party platform. It remains subject to these terms, technical compatibility, and any rights or remedies that applicable law gives you if the Service is changed or discontinued.

App-store rules may govern billing, cancellation, and refund administration, but they do not reduce any mandatory consumer rights you have. Contact the applicable store or support@fftanken.eu if you have a purchase problem.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for personal, lawful purposes. You must not misuse it, interfere with its operation or security, scrape or systematically extract its data, overwhelm its systems, bypass access controls, reverse engineer it except where the law expressly permits this, use it to build or train a competing dataset or service, submit knowingly false information, or infringe another person’s rights.

If the Service allows you to submit or correct data, you must act honestly and have the right to provide it. You give FF Tanken a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, check, adapt, combine, and display that submission only as needed to operate and improve the Service. We may reject or remove submissions that are unreliable, unlawful, or harmful.

7. Third-party services

The Service may open or rely on third-party services such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Apple, Google, station websites, and external data sources. Their own terms and privacy practices apply. FF Tanken does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, routes, or conduct. Links and integrations do not imply endorsement.

8. Intellectual property

FF Tanken and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design, branding, and original content. Subject to these terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website for their intended purpose. No ownership rights are transferred to you. Third-party names, maps, and data remain the property of their respective owners.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without restriction or payment, provided that doing so does not override your privacy or intellectual-property rights.

9. Our responsibility to you

We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, for business losses arising from consumer use, or for failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Because FF Tanken is not the seller of fuel and does not control external data sources, stations, traffic, routes, or pump prices, you remain responsible for decisions made using the information shown. Paying for additional features does not make FF Tanken the seller or guarantor of that third-party data. The specific data and availability limitations in sections 2 and 3 form part of the scope of the Service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights relating to paid digital services. If local law gives you greater protection, that protection applies.

10. Ending or suspending use

You may stop using the Service at any time and may cancel a subscription through the relevant app store. We may suspend or end access if you materially or repeatedly breach these terms, create a security or legal risk, or misuse the Service. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue. Any suspension or termination remains subject to your mandatory rights concerning paid access.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for valid reasons, such as changes to the Service, suppliers, security, or law. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If a change materially affects an ongoing paid service, we will provide reasonable advance notice where required and explain any right you have to end the contract. Changes do not apply retroactively unless the law requires it.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away mandatory protections provided by the law of the country where you habitually live. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear a dispute; these terms do not require you to bring a claim only in the Netherlands.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
